The team and our responsibilities
We are responsible for an in-house solution that manages software updates for almost all Scania products - trucks, buses, industrial and marine engines, used by approximately 1600 workshops around the world. Our application is business critical and there is a lot of focus on quality of the code, useability, security and performance.

You will join a team of 19 competent people in 3 teams with different focus, consisting of Developers, Service Responsible, Test Engineer, Solution Architect and a Manager.

What will you do together with the team
We need help with the daily test cases and to set up test automation in the team. You will work close with the Test Engineer already working in the team. You will have different applications, at the same time you will cooperate and work together driving the test automation in the team.

The assignment consist primarily of these parts
•    Collaborate & Coordinate with the developers after the development and work together if there is any new flow needed to be tested
•    Ability to do Functionality Testing & Web application testing
•    Able to create automated test scripts for E2E and also for APIs and run those scripts in CI/CD
•    Able to do backend testing by using postman & frontend testing
•    Report bug findings in Jira and maintain Kanban board
•    Drive the test automation process together with the other Test Engineer in the team

Your experience
In order to succeed in this role, you need at least a few years of experience and knowledge of the following:
•    Creating automated test scripts for both API testing and Integration testing
•    Functional Testing & Web application testing
•    Cloud services, especially in AWS
•    Proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or Pytest
•    Setting up test automation environments and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab
•    Being able to independently plan and execute the test automation efforts
•    Creating maintainable documentation such as roadmaps, test strategies and test reports
•    It is meritorious if you have experience with Python and JavaScript programming language

You have a degree in IT, Computer Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent experience, and are fluent in English. 

You are a team player with a proactive, curious and solution oriented mindset. Furthermore you are service minded, hands-on and like to work in an international set-up.
 
You are focusing on common goals, have an open mindset, strong curiosity to learn new things, find new ways of solving problems and you know how to organize your own work to meet set targets. You appreciate continuous exchange of knowledge and seek constant improvement.
