Software Test Engineer

Job Description: Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this job is to support/develop SW tests to verify/test 2G/2.5G UE in terms of it's application and or protocol functionalities.With a minimal supervision, develop test methods for GSM/GPRS UE applications and or protocol.This will include to: - Define test requirement specifications mainly for application but can include some protocol.- Write test scripts as required.2.Verify/test UE to it's test specifications.3.Provide advice to the line manager and / or project managers for project planning and budgeting.Skills and experience -------------------------------------------------------------- 1.2/4 years experience in GSM/GPRS UE/Network protocol testing and test development.2.2 years experience in UE application testing and test development.3.Have ability and desire to learn/develop UE's application test cases.4.Very good experience in C/C++ programming language (at least 2 years experience) 5.Good experience in Perl, TTCN and JAVA (Desirable) 6.Good experience of software configuration management tools, including (ideally) exposure to ClearCase.Location: UK Postal Duration: Permanent Salary: 25k - 35k £/year Start Date: ASAP
