Summary of IWPGI Test Division: Responsible for the Office suite's client & server products Summary of Purpose: Responsible for the testing and release of localised Office by following high quality procedures & processes as part of the IWPGI centre of localisation excellence Summary of Role Deliver a fully tested localized Office product within agreed schedules & budgets, to the highest quality standards, while also implementing systems & processes Responsibilities Supporting Test Vendors Supports the testing process at external vendors.Responds to queries on test plan / test kit and/or tools.Responsible for given languages that are tested externally Performs RAID, Software and Process Quality Assurance on testing work performed by offsite vendors.Hands on Testing Tests components/platforms that cannot be outsourced.Logs bugs adhering to RAID standards set, and ensures follow-through procedures.Performs some limited bug investigation.Ownership of a project or feature/component and hence be the testing area expert.Test Planning Reviews, creates and maintains manual test cases for legacy features.Communication /Interaction Interacts with US testing teams in writing test cases and to understand expected product functionality.Interacts with all functions within own app (Loc; PM; SDE; STE; 3rd Party) on testing issues.Process Improvement Ensures that testing and related procedures are followed during release process.Implements solutions already provided or identified and provide feedback on these solutions.Makes recommendations on possible improvements of tasks and processes.
