Software Testing Manager

Volvo Construction Equipment is looking for a Software Testing Manager to lead and develop our Software Testing Organisation in Eskilstuna We are looking for a Software Testing Manager with the overall responsibility to manage all Software Testing and resources within the AE TnPO (Test & Prototype Operations) Sweden organisation as well as managing operationally resources on both Swedish sites (Braås and Eskilstuna).The role means being the main point of contact to other local departments to address Software Testing requirements and ensure high-quality and on-time delivery by adhering to state of-the-art processes using appropriate resources and tools.You will support and provide management oversight to all Software Testing projects planned and executed in the AE TnPO Sweden organisation.You will be the Manager of 10 subordinates and report to Global Software Testing Manager.More specificly your main tasks and responsibilities will be: - Managing operational end-to-end testing delivery of Software to Technology projects within Sweden - Ensuring that all projects are adequately covered with resources at all times - Together with Manager Global Software Testing you will work to define and implement a test strategy to address software testing project requirements in Sweden and also implement global initiatives related to Software Testing processes and methodology locally.- Participating and providing operational leadership in complete life-cycle of all Software Testing projects in Sweden - Providing first line of management responsibility to all Software Test Engineers, Test Rig Developers and consultant staff working within Software Testing projects in Sweden.- Supporting global guidelines as defined by AE management Experience - Previous management/leadership experience in Software field is necessary.Experience in team development is an advantage - Experience in leading Software Testing projects - Experience and ability in understanding business and software functional requirements, writing Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases and De-bugging in Test Rigs - Necessary with experience in using Software embedded tools Lab VIEW/test Stand, MATLAB, Simulink and analyzing tools A graduate degree is required, preferably a Masters Degree in Electronics Engineering.It s vital that you are comfortable and efficient dealing with Testing Teams and Project Stakeholders and this could be the ideal role for you if you: - Have excellent leadership-, inter-personal and communication skills - Are strongly motivated by leading the team from initializing projects to completion - Have a desire to make your mark in a company with a global reputation - Can demonstrate initiative and consider yourself a strong self starter, working autonomously to achieve the company s testing goals - Have an analythical mind and without loosing the holistic perspective, pay excellent attention to detail All work is based at the local site in Eskilstuna, however occasional travel may be required, both within Sweden and outside (e.g.India and Korea) Do you find this interesting?Mark your application "Software Testing Manager".
