Who are we?
 
Our Solution Center Volvo Trucks Retail, within Commercial Solutions belongs to Volvo Group IT. Our work is to have the end-to-end responsibility for all development, delivery, and support of IT solutions for the entire Volvo Group. As our Solution Architect, you will lead the way for Volvo Groups' external web presence. In our team, you will get the opportunity to work in an agile surrounding where we lead the development of our extranet portals and public web solutions. Role description
 
As the Solution Architect, you will have the responsibility to drive the development of the solution architecture for assigned projects and existing solutions. You are responsible to secure the overall consistency in IT projects by guiding the design according to proven principles and facilitating intentional fact-based decisions. Effectively communicating how the technical design supports business goals is a core component of your responsibility. 
 
In your daily work, you will team up with other solution architects, suppliers, developers and business analysts in our agile release sprints to design solutions for our dealers, suppliers, internal users and people visiting us on volvogroup.com. When communicating with our customers you will use your business-oriented attitude to discover the business scenarios and communicate the technical solution. 
 
As Solution Architect your primary objective is to ensure a coherent architecture of the solution in production to satisfy security, capacity, cost and performance requirements. The solutions you build and maintain are based on SiteCore and Adobe (COTS) but also developed on our own. Close cooperation with suppliers will be important. 
 
Who are you?
 
We believe that our new colleague has a university degree in computer science or another related field. We think you have a few years of experience in a similar role and preferably experience as a software architect or lead developer. We think you handled several solution architecture projects and acted as a leader in projects related to implementations. We consider knowledge within the automotive area as an advantage.
As this is a stimulating role where you support Enterprise Architects with your knowledge to raise architectural issues and concerns, we strongly believe that you are curious about our surroundings and want to find new solutions when you are leading and coordinating your team in projects. You consider that having responsibility for fact-based architectural decisions that secure the business value and IT investment’s total cost is an exciting challenge that you can take on.
