Your everyday life
As a Solution Architect Automation Solutions you will be overall technical responsible for one or more solutions, consisting of vehicles, software and services offered to Toyota Material Handlings customers. You will interact with customers and multiple R&D organisations as well as third party suppliers to select, develop and launch best of breed solutions. You will work closely with customers and their technical and operation teams to identify processes and applications with high ROI potential from Automation investments. You will also collaborate internally with solution and product managers and define solution components and their interface. You will have an important role as member of the Solution Team – contributing to the overall Solution portfolio and roadmap.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES


• Plan, define and provide a high-level design of applications and corresponding Business solutions in collaboration with Sales, Business Development and Implementation functions.
• Contribute to the development of the Business solution portfolio by providing requirements on common automation patterns in target segments and customers.
• Be updated on technology and innovation in target Industries and segments and adjacent technology areas
• Responsible for technical documentation, supporting tools and configuration of the solution with support from development and implementation teams.
• Contribute to the progress of the Agile Release Trains and Solution development in collaboration with Product management and Development teams.

Your profile
As a person, you have an excellent understanding of the customer process and technical challenges.  You are an openminded, innovative change leader with a visionary view of Customer Process optimization. You are a strong team player who easily articulate ideas in a compelling and inspiring way and enjoy working with customers and building relationships.

To succeed in this role, you need to be structured and analytical and to have the ability to grasp the big picture as well as give attention to detail. You lead the organization through network building,

promotion of knowledge sharing & reuse of best practices.

A university degree in the field of engineering, computer science, product development or interactive design. To succeed in this position, you need to have 5-10 years’ experience in the material handling, logistics or automation industry with extensive technical experience. You need to have a good understanding of software and hardware development.

As a Solution Architect, occasional travel is required.
