Solution Manager / Technical Architect

The Innovation department within 3's Technology organization develops most non-voice services at 3 Scandinavia. Within Innovation, the Services & Enablers team handles a wide range of services and enabling systems for mobile Portal and Value Added Services. As a Solution Manager / Technical Architect, you will be responsible for design, development and continuous improvements of technical solutions for Portal and VAS services. You will develop an in- depth understanding of your solutions, and for the end-to-end services delivered to our customers. You will also be expected to develop an understanding of overall architecture and systems interacting with your solution. You will work on a daily basis with solution managers of other areas and with our Operations teams. Your responsibility will include: * Analysis and definition of new technical solutions * Managing or participating in technical projects * Technical meetings and negotiations with suppliers * Documentation and technical specifications * Managing operational issues and facilitate resolution or escalation where required * Assisting in the review and maintenance of operational processes * Supporting the product managers and business area owners with expertise, statistics etc. The following skills and experience are required for this position: * MSc or BSc degree in telecommunicaions, computer science or software engineering * A few years of relevant work experience in IT systems development and architecture * Understanding of IP, networking, client-server applications, Java, XML and Web Services * Experience of BEA Weblogic and Java development * Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken Additionally, the following will be considered merits: * Work experience from the telecom industry * Experience of mobile networks, 3G, and operator Portal and VAS solutions * Technical project management experience In the 3 Technology department, you will constantly learn new things and from time to time work under high time pressure.
