Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Scania Purchasing Commodity Investment, SAM, is a team of 11 people who are working with and are responsible for purchasing activities for Scania´s demand of production equipment, from hand held tightening tools to compleete machining lines.

We are currently looking for an experienced Sourcing manager and/or other broad business experience to our team situated in Södertälje/Sweden.



Job description 
The main objective will be to secure our production needs and reduce cost for complete investments given that the quality, sustainability and delivery targets are met in close and in good corporation with our internal customers.


You will lead supplier negotiations, present results in decision boards and conclude commercial agreements in order to create the best value for Scania. Close cooperation with MAN (Munich) and Volkswagen (Wolfsburg) and active participation in the different internal customers projects is necessary to reach best results and secure the needs and demands for Scania.
    
Your profile
To excel in this position you should be a team player with natural leadership skills. You are positive, communicative and have a business oriented, creative and proactive approach to issues and tasks.

You are commercially driven, solution oriented and comfortable in working under pressure as well as presenting business cases in decision meetings.
 
You should also like to work independently and have great social skills with the ability to develop and maintain a broad network of supplier contacts as well as interfaces within Scania and the Volkswagen group.
