Sourcing Manager - IT and Services Purchasing for S&M

Given this, we are looking for new talent in the Commodity IT and Services team.

Job Description

The main objective will be to source solutions according to the company’s needs at the best achievable Cost, Quality, Delivery, and Sustainability while considering the latest available Technology. 

In this position, you will work closely with our Sales & Marketing organization but you will be part of aligning the company’s needs across multiple functions in order to cooperate and drive the tender processes. You will also lead supplier negotiations, present results to decision boards, and conclude commercial agreements to create the best value for Scania. This is often in close cooperation with Traton and Volkswagen and active participation in the different internal stakeholder organizations is necessary to reach the best results and to make a difference.

This job also gives a great opportunity to get in touch with new technologies and new business models while at the same time enabling initiatives for a lot of different improvement opportunities within the team and at Scania.

Your profile

We believe that you are passionate about the work as a purchaser and that you have previous experience from it or from a related business area as well as a university degree. If you have experience in software or related services that is merit, so is a legal background.

• Feel comfortable presenting business cases in a top management meeting
• Are a great teammate and have natural leadership skills
• Are comfortable studying agreements of different kinds
• Loves to think strategically and follow through until the result

It would also be great if you like to work independently and have great social skills with the ability to develop and maintain a broad network of supplier contacts as well as interfaces within Scania and the Group.
