Who we are
Volvo Cars and Geely Auto are combining their powertrain operations into a standalone business focused on next-generation hybrid systems and internal combustion engines. To power the sustainable mobility of the future, a variety of energy sources will be needed. We plan to develop advanced, efficient powertrains for Volvo Cars, Geely Auto, Proton, Lotus, LEVC and Lynk & Co, as well as other OEMs. Our high-performance solutions are already trusted all over the world. Today we power hundreds of thousands of vehicles across the globe.
With facilities in China and Sweden, we expect to employ more than 10,000 employees across Manufacturing, R&D, Engineering, IT and other support functions.

What’s in it for you?
There is a Joint Venture to be established between Geely and Volvo Cars Powertrain units. In this setup we need to build a joint digital platform, find synergies and best practise within the newly established group. We need to innovate together to setup a good digital foundation for the future.

In the CIO Office / PMO team you will be working with a group of strategists, program managers, Iiason officers, controllers etc. You will be part in supporting the teams to maximize the obtained value from the vendor deliveries within Digital and secure that the teams has a good foundation for make or buy decisions.

Furthermore, you will build and maintain a network internally and externally for learnings and deliverables. This will require you to cross functionally lead, define, and deliver in the establishment of a world class company with other Digital leaders in an agile fashion working our way through a separation from mother companies and into a new self-sustained reality. Lastly you will actively contribute and role model a culture of transparency, fun, passion, ownership, and willingness for success.

The team is mainly located in Gothenburg (HQ) and Skövde (Plant), Sweden, and we also connected to teams in China. You will report to Head of PMO / CIO office.

What you’ll do
Own and manage vendor selection process and criteria’s aligned with corporate strategic objectives. Manage vendors and supplier relationship strategies and secure that we have a good mix of suppliers supporting company needs. You will have the responsibility to secure that vendor management procedures are communicated and handled in a consistent way within Digital. Govern and feedback on the vendor deliveries.

Be the digital subject matter expert in sourcing, contract and license questions and interpretations. Secure that we optimize the overall license portfolio. Writing, evaluating, negotiating, and executing contracts in close cooperation with purchasing and legal department. Setup procedures, tools, competence and training framework and support and educate key stakeholders.

You and your skills
We believe you have BSc, or equivalent experience in a relevant field (significant on the job training can be seen as equivalent). You have Experience from managing stakeholders on senior level, experience from working in a multi-vendor context, and from working in a multi-cultural context. We see that you have several years if professional experience.

As a person we think you are solution Oriented - Engaged to seek answers and solutions to problems. You hold transparency and share, you are honest and hold high level of integrity. You are also service minded. Further, we believe you have below skills:

* Knowledge in Vendor and License Management
* Enabling efficient collaboration with the vendor(s), promoting partnership and sharing relevant tactical targets for the vendor(s) to be able to support the transformational targets
