Space Manager

We are looking for a person to join our commercial team in Stockholm as a Space Manager. In this position, you will be a member of the Commercial team and report to Nordic Head of Activation.

In this role, you establish long-term value-creating business relations with key customers to deliver shopper-centric planograms, merchandising solutions and insight-based assortment recommendations both on category level and for J&J products to ensure above market growth. The Space Manager manages and leads all planogram activities, from floor plan and fixture development, resulting in execution at store level in support of strategic, category and format initiatives. As a member of our Category Management community, you become an expert in understanding shopping behavior, consumer trends and channel dynamics for J&J key categories. You deploy relevant findings to the organization and across Nordics to drive business with all customers.

Responsibilities:

Category & Customer Strategy

* Use Category Management process: Definition, Role, Assessment, Scorecards, Strategy, Tactics, Implementation and Review.
* Extend category strategies into merchandising strategy and deploy to the full organization.

External Collaboration

* Contribute to key customers and grow their categories beyond J&J brands, focusing on an objective category growth approach.
* Position J&J as the go-to company and inspiring leader in priority categories, by showing expertise in space management.
* Develop customer specific planograms incl. merchandising strategy and develop category growth stories for trade meetings together with Category Managers, Key Account Managers and Commercial Activation Managers.
* Able to build strong collaboration with retailers and work directly with space managers at retailer level.
* Plan and manage in-store trial projects, analyze the results.

Internal Collaboration

* Be an active member of the Category Management team, building the local and Nordic fundamental space management skills. Ready to support categories across the J&J portfolio based on business need.
* Inspire and teach KAMs and Field Force Representatives space management principles to implement at customer headquarters or in store.
* Support and empower organization to define commercial objectives for sales and marketing activities through space management and category knowledge.
* Be a key driver in developing and updating sales and market share reports.
* Actively uphold J&J values and leadership behaviors. Work with integrity in business dealings and professional relationships.

Qualifications

* 2-3 years from similar role in FMCG/OTC/retailer/related businesses required.
* Understand principles of merchandising strategy and capable of crafting a strategy from shopper insights required.
* Analytical, structured, focused and able to set clear priorities required.
* Solid skills in Space Planning program (Spaceman, Blue Yonder, or similar) preferred.
* Fluency in Swedish and strong skills in English required.
