The new department of Magazine and Newsprint R&D at Karlstad Research Centre is seeking a specialist/senior specialist in the area of mechanical fibres.Depending on the interests and qualifications of the applicant, the position could also include building and managing the new department of Magazine and Newsprint R&D.The department/research manager will be part of the management team at the Karlstad Research Centre and he/she will in the local line organisation report to the research centre R&D director.For projects and strategic issues the department manager will report to the R&D Director, Magazine Paper, Mönchengladbach

Specialist / Senior specialist - Mechanical Fibres
Description
The position involves working with the processes and people involved in the production of mechanical pulp and papermaking furnish mixtures within the field of pulp, paper and paperboard manufacture.The work is aimed at reducing energy consumption and ensuring product quality with optimum furnish mixture.You will have a leading role within Stora Enso as far as the development of mechanical fibres is concerned.You will also be involved in this field as the company's contact person for institutions, universities and colleges.
Requirements
You have a M.Sc.or the equivalent as well as relevant experience of similar work.Postgraduate (research) studies are a merit.The position requires you to:
.Act as a leader for problem solving projects as well as projects of a long-term nature.
.Be abel to travel.
.Have good communication skills.
.Be able to express yourself easily in English both orally and in writing.
.Contribute ideas of your own for new projects and evaluate those of others.
.Act independently and be able to take your own initiative.
