SQL Azure Specialist

As a SQL Azure Performance Specialist, you will play an important role as we continue to host an increasing number of customers using our Microsoft Azure cloud solution. Your focus will be to make sure we continue to improve the performance of our product by optimizing the way we utilize SQL Server and SQL Azure functionality. You will have access to huge amounts of data since we are hosting customers all over the world and gathering performance metrics for all of them. You will have the chance to form this new role based on your experience from similar challenges to help optimize both performance and cost.
About the job
Analyze SQL logs, metrics, both in Azure and on-premise, to find improvements to implement
Work closely with both the Cloud Operation team and the R&D teams to support them in optimizing the different product modules
Discuss complex database challenges closely with the development teams
Monitor and create database performance tests, making sure they stay on great levels
Optimize stored procedures and database queries
Continuously improve the way we work

About you
You have a university degree within computer science and a few years of experience 
You have deep SQL Server and SQL Azure knowledge and experience
You are curious, driven and innovative
You enjoy and feel very comfortable using T-SQL
You enjoy keeping up to date with the latest trends
You are fluent in English (Swedish is not a requirement)
