GVA Consultants AB is a world leading design office in the oil and gas industry, specialized in floating offshore installations.GVA Consultants AB assists oil companies, rig owners and yards with engineering in all project phases from concept through installation offshore. The Senior HVAC Engineer will be a part of the EIT & HVAC department and will be reporting to the Group Manager.The primary responsibilities will include: HVAC ship and offshore design.HVAC design according to classification rules.HVAC design within 2D and 3D design, using tools like PDMS, Tribon/AVEVA marine, ProEngineer and Auto CAD.HVAC D&ID design to comply with project specification and class requirements Cooling/heating loads, dehumidification, air flow and pressure drop calculations Independently applies advanced engineering techniques, makes decisions on engineering problems and methods.Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers. Profile The ideal candidate has qualifications and competencies which primarily include: Holder of at least a B. Sc.degree in Mechanical design/building service engineering or similar.At least eight years of experience of HVAC design of ships and floating offshore units.Experience from HVAC D&ID design and class requirements Mentors others in self development by sharing experiences of both previous successes and failures.Ensures that successes are repeated and best practice shared and adopted.Creates insights for others and influences others to translate vision into action.Communicates fluently in both English and Swedish.
