Driver Electronics is one of five Global Technology Areas (GTA) within Global Electrical and Electronics Engineering. We are represented on all Volvo Global Trucks Technology (GTT) sites and consist of skilled engineers in the area of:
Vehicle functions and electronics
Security functions and electronics
Driver functions and electronics
Entertainment functions and electronics

At the group Cab Instrument and Functions within Global Technology Area Driver, VGTT, we are looking for a senior hardware component owner for Instrument Cluster (IC) and Secondary Information Display (SID)
The senior HW component owner is working in close cooperation with the rest of the GTA resources, as a bridge between the supplier and the component teams
As a senior HW component owner you will be located in Lundby, Gothenburg, and work in the team responsible for developing the truck HMI, Instrument cluster and Secondary information display

You will in this role be the main responsible interface towards supplier together with assignment leader and have a large network cross-functionally and globally
You will be working in an area that have the highest demands on flexibility, innovation and possibility to adapt the end result

Responsibilities
The main responsibility of the senior Component Owner is to be the technical contact for the suppliers and continuously monitor their progress.

The assignment includes working with running changes and modifications of current components, as well as studies and development of completely new products.

The tasks of a senior component owner are focused on requirement collecting, writing of the Technical Regulation, supplier technical contacts & follow-up, integration of components and also release of component documentation into our PDM (Product Data Management) system.

Responsible for achieving the committed quality /delivery/ feature target for the deliveries in project phase as well as in maintenance phase
Responsible for releasing drawings and technical regulations for HW components
Provide installation requirements to the HW & Geometrical section regarding the installation of the HW component (location, fixation, mounting).
Review electrical schematics related to the components
Supply packaging CAD models (provided by the supplier)
Provide interface to aftermarket, global manufacturing and purchasing

Key Qualifications and Capabilities
Excellent HW knowledge (circuit board design, manufacturing process knowledge, display technologies, LED technologies?)
Good knowledge in testing of electronics (environmental testing, EMC, dust?)
Experience of supplier management
Good global communication and networking skills
Volvo PDM knowledge is an advantage
