Are you a strategic and technical person who wants to have the responsibility to develop sales and growth plans towards our existing and new customers? The defined geographical area is primary to Southern Finland and regions such as Turku, Helsinki and Hämeenlinna.
You are playing an important role of developing and building the Special Steels market and strategy. You will train our customers with your technical competence and give support in order to build customer value and profitability. Depending on your wish, you will work out of home office or from the nearest SSAB office in Finland.
About the position
Division SSAB Special Steels is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to the Finland & Baltics sales team, who have a strong sense of curiosity, a positive attitude and a solution-oriented mindset. In this position, you need to be a strategic thinker, be able to work in a structured way and use your technical experience to be part of our professional international team.
We have an extensive steel grade portfolio that can support a diverse customer base. As Regional Sales Manager, you have the responsibility to develop the sales of our Special Steels division together with our technical support function. The position drives the strategic development and expansion of the High Strength Steel customers in the region. It includes developing new customers, segments and applications, as well as upgrade existing and new customers to more advanced materials.
To succeed in the role you will participate in marketing actions and visit workshops and end-users on a regular basis. You will analyze and develop the strategy to increase end-user reach. You will document your key activities in our customer relationship management system called Salesforce. Usually you have several customer meetings per week and then do a follow-up, together with reporting and planning. You will also independently set up sales representations, contracts, proposals and negotiate offer, prices and payments. For the right candidate, it will feel natural to work according to SSAB´s short and long-term strategic goals.
You will report to the Area Sales Manager for Finland & Baltics.
The position is permanent and starting date is as soon as possible.
Your qualifications
You are someone that places value on always putting safety first. You have a proactive approach to new business opportunities and continued improvements. You enjoy creating partnerships with internal & external customers and have the required social skills to build long-term relationships. We expect you to have some technical experience, a strong drive to work in the steel business and a genuine interest to learn more about steel making, properties and user benefits. As a person you are positive and solution oriented, driven, structured and have a strong interest in coaching and supporting customers to grow their business. You have University degree or equivalent in business administration, economics or engineering (i.e M.Sc. in Technology; Mechanical, Metallurgical or Mining Engineering) from any University in Europe and have working experience with international Scandinavian or European companies, preferably OEM’s and experience of value creation sales.
You are a social and trustworthy person who can easily build good relationships. You have the strategic ability to see the whole picture where you can clarify the business and the way forward and feel comfortable in delivering presentations to internal colleagues and external customers. You are confident in yourself and you share our values based on everyone´s equal value, diversity and differences to create a high-performing organization. English and Finnish language skills is a requirement for this position and Swedish language knowledge is a plus.
It is important to be aware that this position consists of traveling.
