Within our division Special Steels, we are now looking for a strategic, technical skilled Regional Sales Manager for our sales team in the Netherlands. Your main responsibility will be to develop sales and growth plans towards our existing and new customers in the country. As Regional Sales Manager in the Netherlands, you are playing an important role in developing and building the Special Steels market and strategy. You will train our customers with your technical competence and will offer support in order to build customer value and profitability. In this role, you will report to the Area Sales Manager for Benelux & UK. You will work mainly remotely from your home office, and this position consists of traveling.
SSAB Special Steels division have an extensive steel grade portfolio that can support a diverse customer base. As Regional Sales Manager within the sales and marketing function, you have the responsibility of develop sales through technical support concerning High Strength Steel. The position drives the strategic development and expansion of the High Strength Steel customers in the region. It includes developing new customers, segments and applications as well as upgrading existing and new customers to more advanced materials. You will drive the development of local sales and marketing activities towards our customers.
To succeed in the role you will participate in marketing actions and visit workshops and end-users on a regular basis. You will analyze and develop the strategy to increase end-user reach. You are expected to document your key activities in our customer relationship management system Salesforce. Usually you have several customer meetings (physical & Teams) per week and then do follow-up, reporting and planning. You will also independently set up sales representations, contracts, proposals and negotiate offers, prices and payments. It feels natural to work according to SSAB´s short and long-term strategic goals.
Your qualifications

You have technical experience, a strong drive to work in the steel business and a genuine interest to learn more about steel making, properties and user benefits.
You have preferably graduated as M.Sc. in Technology (Mechanical, Metallurgical or Mining Engineering) from any University in Europe and have working experience in similar fields.
Language skills Dutch and English are compulsory. German and French language knowledge is a plus.
