About the position
We are looking for a Service Manager for infrastructure services within client and server technology areas.
You will be an important part of our Group IT Operation Shared Services team. Our customers are SSAB business divisions, subsidiaries and personnel all over the world. You will communicate with technical and non-technical colleagues in the organization and coordinate work within IT Operations technology areas.
As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing services in order to provide value and excellent quality for our stakeholders to make sure that the future needs are met. It means:
Manage and develop client and server services
Coordinate work of internal and external technical resources and service providers
Help to improve operational excellence of the services for example by training IT support personnel or automate service processes
Architectural work including technology selections and standards
Assuring that the service(s) will meet corporate standards (security, procurement, sourcing model, etc.)
Act as third line support for technical issues or coordinate the support with service provider

Your qualifications
To be successful in this role you need to be good at building relationships and have a well-developed strategic mindset with an ability to transform concepts in to concrete actions.
The person we are seeking to hold the role understands that IT service management is characterized by adopting a process approach towards management, focusing on customer needs and IT services for customers rather than IT systems, and stressing continual improvement.
You might already have Service Management experience or have a background as IT Technician with some experience from project management, ready to take the next step within IT.
You probably have a degree from post – secondary education or equivalent job experience we assesses as equal. You have at least 4-6 years IT experience within client and server with Microsoft technologies. In this role your skills in the English language needs to be somewhat advanced in both writing and speaking.

Active Directory
Microsoft SQL Server
Microsoft System Center
VMware
Hyperconverged infrastructure
PowerShell and Automation
Citrix or Microsoft Terminal Services
Software Asset Management
Microsoft Office 365
