GVA Consultants AB is a world leading design office in the oil and gas industry, specialized in floating offshore installations.GVA Consultants AB assists oil companies, rig owners and yards with engineering in all project phases from concept through installation offshore.Position The Senior Stability Design Engineer will be a part of the Stability and Marine Operations department and will be reporting to the Group Manager The primary work field will include: Stability design according to classification rules Stability calculations with the Autoship software package Weighing and inclining tests Integration and installation of offshore assemblies Rig transportation Stability upgrade Profile The ideal candidate has qualifications and competencies which primarily include: Completion of a M.Sc.degree in Naval Architecture or similar.At least10 years experience of stability design of ships and floating offshore structures.Knowledge about ship and offshore rules concerning mainly the DNV and ABS classifications societies.Knowledge of the Autoship software or similar.Communicates fluently in both English and Swedish.Initiate actions to progress work and takes appropriate action to meet challenging goals, schedules or business needs.Takes personal responsibility for own career path by actively seeking development opportunities.Question the effectiveness of current systems and processes and looks for ways to improve on them.Mentor others in self development by sharing experiences of both previous successes and failures.For more information, or to send us your application, please visit our website www.gvac.se
