Standards Engineer - Core Network

Main Purpose of Job -------------------------------------------------------------------- The job holder should represent our Client in standard meetings (mainly 3GPP CT-1 related) technically as well as strategically.He or she should be able to create essential patents and secure IPRs in person and/or by collaborating with other standard engineers in Korea and other places.In addition, he or she should be able to analyse other companies' technologies and reflect to the company internal strategies and activities.Main work area will be Core Network of 3G/B3G cellular system, and 3GPP LTE (Long Term Evolution) will be the main standard system.Job Description -------------------------------------------------------------------- . Take a responsibility on the standardisation activities in 3GPP CT-1 (Core Network & Terminal Working Group One) .Create patents, write and present contributions, negotiate with other companies to get approval of the contribution . Technical support: HQ standardisation activities in 3GPP LTE and VCC (Voice Call Continuity).Skills and experience --------------------------------------------------------------------- . Deep and broad technical knowledge on 2G/3G/B3G/4G core networks . Understanding on radio access networks . Experiences on standardisation activities (standard process) .Capability of technical discussion, debate, and negotiation . Good (technical/political) communication skills with internal and/or external people
