STRATEGIC BUYER / COMMODITY MANAGER

CHAINSAWS & LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT

This is a position in the central purchasing team.This team is a strategic department responsible for agreements, contracts and for coordinated activities to reduce total cost.The department is also responsible for the purchasing process and procedures.The central purchasing team consists of
nine experienced and competent colleagues handling a total purchase value of approximately 2,0 billion SEK per year.

You will be responsible for the purchasing of some material groups, i.e.develop, harmonize and coordinate the cost reduction activities in these groups.Create and support local as well as cross border agreements and ensure proper supplier evaluation activities.You will work in close cooperation with the production and development departments to provide the chainsaws & landscape equipment organization with a competitive cost advantage by focusing on lowest possible total cost considering product quality and total purchasing cost.

To succeed in this position, you should have experience, interest and insight in commercial aspects of negotiating, purchasing processes and procedures, as well as technical matters and logistics.

We are looking for a determined, open-minded, self-motivated individual who is ready to take the initiative and work independently in a fully global team.Most likely you have a University Degree in Engineering or Business.You have at least five years experience in international purchasing, including Low Cost Countries, and it is mandatory that you have very good skills in Swedish and English.Knowledge in electronics and/or plastics is appreciated.We estimate the number of business overnight stays to 40 - 60 per year.
