Strategy and Portfolio Management, within Business Engagement in Group IT, is the department responsible for the Corporate IT Strategy, the Enterprise Architecture and Strategic Portfolio Management for all of the IT at Volvo Car Group. Main purpose and responsibility is to develop the strategies and long-term directions for the entire area of IT that will support the company to achieve its business objectives and enable IT as a competitive advantage.

The Portfolio Management area includes several different portfolios for IT. The IT Project portfolio includes all the programs and projects related to IT. The Information Management, Application Management and Technology Management portfolios include Volvo Cars collection of IT related assets. The Service portfolio includes the IT services delivered to business and to external parties. As Strategic Portfolio Manager, you manage the entire Portfolio Management area, which means that you are responsible for the strategic development of the portfolios to ensure that we manage and steer the portfolios in line with overall business objectives and strategies.

Main responsibilities

* Develop and continuously improve the Portfolio Management discipline incl. processes, governance and framework on a strategic level for the area of IT within Volvo Car Group

* Ensure that portfolios reflect the overall strategic direction given by our Corporate Business Strategies and IT Strategies
* Lead and ensure cross functional engagement in the overall portfolio governance
* Ensure high quality output from the Portfolio Management processes
* Monitor and follow up on portfolio performance and status including areas such as financial reporting, quality, customer satisfaction, intended business value, portfolio deliveries and portfolio risk
* Present portfolio performance and recommended actions with executive level business partners as target groups
* Identify benchmarking opportunities and review recommendations

Required qualifications

* Relevant University degree
* Highly competent in developing and managing Portfolio Management processes
* Senior level experience from managing portfolios (application management, technology management, service management and project portfolios)
* Thorough business acumen and broad IT understanding
* Used of leading strategic discussion with senior and executive management levels
* Fully up to speed and proficient in the digitalisation trends
* Excellent leadership skills
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
* Advanced skills in MS Office with special emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
