Strategic Purchaser Direct Material for assignment in Västerås

ValueOne is looking for a Strategic Purchaser Direct Material for a six-month assignment starting in June at a manufacturing company in Västerås. For the right person there is a very good possibility of extension.

The role

In the role as Strategic Purchaser, you will be responsible for securing material to the company´s production. You will also participate in tenders, projects, and R/D projects to secure that the Supply process runs as cost efficient as possible. You will mainly purchase raw materials for the company´s production, like steel, aluminium, machined components and plastics. Initially focus will be on tactical purchasing from existing suppliers including quotation management. Later on you will work with new suppliers, mainly in China and India which will include travelling.

Experience and competence

We are looking for a purchaser with some years of experience from project buying and/or tactical buying. You need to be a skilled negotiator and stakeholder manager with experience from contract management, tender management and strategic sourcing. Furthermore, you are commercially driven, used to work with suppliers on an international level and are able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Fluency in English is required.
