The Position

The main objective will be to Source IT Software, Hardware, and Services according to the company’s needs at the best achievable Cost, Quality, Delivery, and Sustainability while considering the latest available Technology – Balancing these aspects in the complex world of today will be quite the challenge but something we believe you are excited about!

In this strategic position, you will be part of aligning the company’s needs across multiple functions in order to cooperate and drive the tender processes. You will also lead supplier negotiations, present results in decision boards, and conclude commercial agreements to create the best value for Scania. This is often in close cooperation with Traton and Volkswagen and an active participation in the different internal stakeholder organizations is necessary to reach the best results and to make a difference.

We seek a Strategic Purchaser (Sourcing Manager) to join our team and to take on the important category of central IT at Scania. In the role, you will be responsible for further developing the category and continuously improving the current way of working cross-functionally with our internal stakeholders at Scania as well as within the Traton Group.

This job also gives a great opportunity to get in touch with new technologies and new business models while at the same time enabling initiatives for a lot of different improvement opportunities within the team and at Scania.

Your profile

We believe that you are passionate about the work as a Purchaser and that you have previous experience from it or from a related business area as well as a university degree.

• Have a true commercial drive along with prior negotiation experience
• Feel comfortable presenting business cases in top management meeting
• Are a great teammate and have experience working cross-functionally
• Are comfortable studying agreements of different kinds
• Loves to think strategically and follow through until result
• Are communicative, creative, and solution orientated

It would also be great if you like to work independently while having great social skills with the ability to develop and maintain a broad network of supplier contacts, as well as interfaces within Scania and the Group.

The Team

We are nine people on the team with different backgrounds, ages, and education. To fit in, you are comfortable expressing your opinion, questioning current ways, and pitching your ideas openly but most important you are open-minded.
