Strategic Sourcing Manager

Job description
Randstad Engineering is now looking for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager for our customer in Täby. 

You will be the  driving force behind strategic planning and sourcing processes. Responsible for agreements, category management, supplier relation management, spend analysis, negotiations etc.

The main objective will be to secure the material needs of the company and reduce costs for complete segment turnover given that the quality, sustainability and delivery targets are met in close and in good corporation with the internal customers.



Responsibilities
Amongst other responsibilities will be to develop and optimize the company’s global supplier base in your segments. 
 
- Your main task will be to create and drive strategic plans and activities to improve the quality, delivery precision and total cost of your product range. 
- You will lead supplier negotiations, present results and decisions, and conclude commercial agreements in order to create the best value for the company. 
- Close cooperation internally and externally is necessary to reach best results and secure the needs and demands for the segment.

Qualifications
To excel in this position, you should be a team player with natural leadership skills. You are positive, communicative and have a pedagogic, creative and proactive approach to issues and tasks with strong result focus.

You are commercially driven and passionate about doing business.
Solution oriented and comfortable in presenting business cases.
It’s also very important that you feel comfortable with making demands and that you constantly challenge your stakeholders and suppliers when needed. 
You’re well organized and analytical, thrive in a high tempo and dynamic environment.
You should also like to work independently and have great social skills with the ability to develop and maintain a broader network of supplier contacts.
 
On top of this, you need:
 
• A Master of Science in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years’ experience of Strategic Sourcing in a mid/large industrial company or similar
• Extensive knowledge of Strategic Sourcing
• Experience from Technical Product development industry
• Training and qualifications within Sourcing
• Fluency in English and Swedish, written and spoken alike
• It is an advantage to have experience of business and outsourcing projects in an international environment and if you have experience of project management
