Global Product Development is looking for a Strength Analysis Engineer Strength Analysis is part of the department Body in White, installation and Strength Analysis (86190), within Global Product Development. The technical area constitutes of a common resource for Volvo Bus Corporation. We work in projects with high requirements of integrating analysis with design work. Technical Assignments: -Strength calculation of the complete bus structure within VBC (E.g. body, frame, axle installation and engine installation) -The main work task will be calculation of complex welded steel structure -Crash calculation -The work team is also responsible for strength measurement and coordination of rig testing Competence requirements: Education: -Master of Engineering Knowledge and ability: -Good knowledge of strength -Good mechanical ability -Good analytical ability Languages: -Swedish, spoken and written -English, spoken and written Desirable experiences: Work related: -2-3 years of experience from calculation is considered a merit Computer systems: -Experience from FE Software (IDEAS, ANSA and RADIOSS) is considered a merit -Interest of CAE hardware and software is considered a merit Personal qualities: We want you to: -be interested in heavy vehicles -be a good team player, while our work includes close cooperation with staff representing design engineering -have an ability to take initiative -have a positive and target oriented approach At Volvo Buses we are actively working to establish groups that will take maximum advantage of the strength inherent in differences in knowledge, experience, age, gender and nationality, etc. Due to current personnel structure we especially welcome female applicants for this position.
