Supplier Auditor in India

Group Assurance is a function within Sandvik working on behalf of the Board of Directors.The primary role of this function is to provide independent, objective and insightful sureness of the effectiveness of the Sandvik Groups' framework and processes for corporate governance, internal control and risk management.As a Supplier Auditor you will be placed in India and responsible for auditing suppliers in India, focusing on our Code of Conduct.Another important responsibility in India will be training local purchasers. The position offers a unique overall perspective of the organization and excellent opportunities to develop and grow into other roles within Sandvik.Key performance areas The major focus areas are: - On site audits of the suppliers' conduct compared to Sandvik's Code of Conduct.- Perform risk assessments of suppliers based on their code of conduct and historical records from secondary sources.- Support and follow-up the suppliers in their efforts to improve and develop their services.- Train suppliers and Sandvik employees.Travel is an important part of the assignment.You will be meeting and dealing with a variety of local cultures which require highly developed skills in social interaction and communication.To create a positive spirit and make an impact, you need to be able to quickly establish good relations and gain trust.Your profile To be a successful candidate you have a bachelor degree from a university, preferably in law, engineering or environmental studies.Other important requirements are: knowledge of supply chain management and auditing, knowledge of Indian labor, health and safety, environmental laws as well as knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).You are fluent in English, Hindi and preferably some other Indian languages.You have good communication skills, a high level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness.As a person you are highly structured, systematic and analytical.Recruiter: Margareta Linde Sandvik är en global industrikoncern med avancerade produkter och en världsledande position inom utvalda områden - verktyg för metallbearbetning, maskiner och verktyg för bergavverkning, rostfria material, speciallegeringar, högtemperaturmaterial samt processystem.Koncernen hade 2007 cirka 47 000 anställda, representation i 130 länder och en omsättning på mer än 86 000 MSEK.
