Supplier Quality Assurance – Electronics

The Supplier Quality (SQ) organization within Scania Purchasing is responsible for proactive & reactive quality assurance of current supplier product & processes, as well as evaluation of potential supplier for upcoming business. Quality, Sustainability and Efficiency are our keywords. The SQCE team consists of nine (with you) persons with diverse backgrounds working with Quality Assurance in the electronics area. The team portfolio covers areas such as software, automation and E-mobility including batteries & charging in various products from basic electrics to advanced electronics.

What you do
One of your task is to evaluate the supplier's ability to produce parts according to Scania’s requirements. The result of this evaluation is many times a dealbreaker whether the supplier is awarded with business or not. For the awarded suppliers you guide, challenge and collects proof of that their production process can deliver the expected quality level every day. It is your judgement of this process that ultimately allows the part inside our manufacturing plants. If something goes wrong you will also find yourself in the situation to lead and coordinate deviation handling activities. One can never foresee & eliminate all risks but your sense of urgency will have a huge impact on the remaining value chain, in everything from our direct customer in production to our end customer customers in the person waiting at the bus stop or for that particular goods delivery.

Even if this position in many ways is a key role with numbers of crucial decisions on its shoulders you are never alone. Besides being supported by your team colleagues, managers and the entire Supplier Quality community at Scania you will to a high extent perform the tasks in close cooperation with our purchasers as well as cross functions such as R&D and production, not to mention our suppliers.

Your skill profile
Having electronics as your main competence is most probably needed for this position. Years within Automotive electronics is a substantial benefit, that combined with Quality Assurance experience may be one perfect skill base. Knowledge within high voltage E-mobility & Electrification products are beneficial as well as Autonomous & Functional Safety, both on the Hardware and Software side.

Location
Our office is located in Södertälje, Sweden. Since our suppliers are present all over the world, travelling will be part of your job. The need for travels is mainly decided by you and can be planned so it suits your situation.
