Purpose of the role
As a trusted Business Partner and key person, reporting to the Business Line Advanced Materials Supply Chain Controller, you drive the value creation in the Supply Chain Controlling team with insight, financial expertise and steering support. Beyond that, you ensure the transparency on the inventory levels, valuation and profit/loss locked in stock, with a view to understand, forecast and steer the financial impacts.
What you will do
As a Controlling Supply Chain Management (SCM) Business Partner and financial Guardian your valued contributions will centre around:
Supporting that the Supply Chain team have the necessary financial advice and guidance to enable correct conclusions and effective actions
Providing transparency to performance within the function and Business Line, including analysing deviations to plans/forecasts and provide a view on forward looking developments.
Maintain, develop, and enhance the reporting for the Supply Chain function
Provide insightful information, analysis and decision support on planning, inventories, material flows and logistics.
Help with the annual operating plan & monthly forecasting processes in SCM to align demand and supply as well as deriving the financial effects and key messages towards the business and functional teams and management.
Own the Supply Chain KPI reporting and related reporting tasks.
Develop tools and processes to provide applicable insights on metal valuation effects in inventories to ensure effective and transparent SCM and financial steering and decision making
Support the monthly Sales & Operations Planning and material balance processes.

The essentials
Substantial experience in performance management processes of reporting, planning & follow-up, ideally in the process industry
Outstanding analytical skills
Strong personality to act as a challenging business partner
Rounded communication and influencing abilities in a multinational environment
Natural ability to translate data into messages, recommendations, and actions
Excellent insight into financial profitability, value creation and performance drivers
Advanced skills in spreadsheet and relational database tools (Excel, PowerBI)

The team
You will report to Supply Chain Controller Business Line Advanced Materials.
In your role you will also work closely with the VP Sales Controlling, Advanced Materials supply chain function and business line management team members.

Location
Flexible or close to Outokumpu’s main European hubs (Helsinki or Tornio/Kemi, Finland; Düsseldorf region, Germany; Avesta region, Sweden, Vilnius, Lithuania).
