teenage engineering is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled supply chain manager to join our team. this is a position that entails working with our products throughout the whole lifecycle.

you have significant experience working in the consumer electronics industry. you have a previous network of contacts within the industry as well as experience in building and maintaining new relationships.

job description
your main task is to coordinate, review, and run manufacturing of new and existing products, drive closure of technical operational issues in the production along with developing manufacturing requirements and negotiate prices and terms. you will be working with demand planning and purchasing by analyzing and maintaining appropriate stock and component levels in inventories. reviewing & negotiating with suppliers on a global level is also a main part of this job. develop an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes and costs, 3rd party warehouses, reverse logistics and market intelligence. daily tasks will also involve sourcing, managing inbound & outbound shipments and continuously monitoring costs & KPI’s.

you will work closely with teams within TE to maintain good flow of communication and smooth operation across our departments

key qualifications
you have at least 5 years of supply chain management experience and proficient understanding of new manufacturing technologies including ERP, MRP, budgeting / forecasting, and the systems behind these processes. you are experienced in the selection, negotiation, and maintenance of relationships with key vendors and suppliers within consumer electronics manufacturing.

you also have experience in cost management and cost saving initiatives and understand the tradeoffs between cost, volume and high quality. good problem-solving and organizational skills and ability to multi-task is a must.

its a bonus if you have mechanical or electrical engineering background in product development.

to be successful in this role and at teenage engineering you need to be organized as a person, and be inspired and efficient even during times of high pace. You’re nonhierarchical in attitude with focus on results and quality and you enjoy working in a dynamic small international team.
