Surface Engineers

The Global Design Centre is responsible for design strategies and industrial design for all brands within the Husqvarna group.

As a Surface Engineer you will be involved in development of surfaces from concept through to manufacturing of all products and brands.The role must incorporate engineering, production and manufacturing/assembly processes in all final surface designs.You will be the industrial designer's extended arm and should guarantee that the aim of the brand design is implemented into manufacturing.
Your main responsibilities include:
.to deliver concept surfaces and production surfaces for all products according to the brand design strategy
.responsibility for CAD quality and secure geometry
.to ensure that the final form is aimed at/according to the defined production process.
As a minimum you must have:
.Bachelor degree in Engineering
.computer skills in Catia V5.Knowledge in FSS is appreciated.
.5 years of experience as a surface engineer is appreciated

This position is suited to those who a have good understanding of materials, engineering, production and manufacturing processes.As this position requires you to work in a team as well as individually you have to possess good communication and presentation attributes.Creative thinking, strong organizational skills and ability to run projects efficiently to meet deadlines are highly valued.Fluency in English is crucial.

As of October 2010 the Husqvarna Global Design Center is moving from Huskvarna to Stockholm which will be the location of your new position.
