SW Project Leader GPT/AI

Job description


Randstad Digital is looking for a SW Project Leader GPT/AI for one of our automotive clients in Gothenburg. You will manage the end-to-end delivery of key digital and infotainment software projects. Your role will focus on ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, with the optimal technical SW architecture solution and aligned with departmental objectives. Frequent reporting to C-level executives is a crucial aspect of this position, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to present project status and insights effectively. You will work closely with technical leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution, in Sweden, China and our SW hub in eastern EU.

Responsibilities


Project Planning & Execution: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects within automotive digital and infotainment projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with technical teams, product development, and engineering to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with the overall strategy.
Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks and proactively manage issues to ensure that project milestones are achieved without disruption.
Performance Monitoring: Track project progress against defined KPIs and implement corrective measures as needed to ensure successful delivery.
C-Level Reporting: Prepare and present regular project updates and reports to C-level executives, ensuring transparency and alignment with strategic goals.


Qualifications


Competence Requirements (must haves):
Strong and 10+ years of proven experience in leading software delivery projects, preferably within the automotive software, digital, or infotainment sectors.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering results.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with C-level executives and manage stakeholder expectations.
Experience in/of: Embedded systems /IOT, HMI-development, Automotive infotainment platforms, Cloud services & Cloud integrations, Data privacy, Agile development and devops 3-5+ years’ experience within the specific domain (AI / GPT) of project mgmt.

Software competencies (must haves)
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python) and experience with software development tools and frameworks (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker). Strong understanding of cloud platforms, embedded systems, and/or automotive software
Worked at least 7 years as SW developer
Worked at least 3 years as SW PO



Specific Requirements (must haves)
Driver’s license needed



Advantageous if you have experience within the field of AI & ML:
Experience from hands on development of AI solutions
Proven track record of managing and delivering successful AI or software products.
Passion for AI and staying current with the latest industry trends and developments.
Strong knowledge of ML, DL, NLP, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Proficiency in Python, R, and AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
Familiarity with MLOps practices, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD processes.
