About us:
Service Operations & Technology operates in Volvo Cars Service Business, responsible for everything needed to service and repair a car. This responsibility goes all the way from product creation to implementation in the markets. 

Whats in it for you?
We are looking for a Software Verification Engineer to join our Test & Verification team. The Test & Verification team is part of the VIDA & PIE application release process within Volvo Cars Service Business.

What you’ll do:
The responsibility is to secure the quality of the software downloads with VIDA as a tool for new car projects as well backwards compatible in old cars. The role also includes ensuring the quality of software application for aftermarket use VIDA, One Engine, TIE and PIE. Your key tasks will involve developing and performing tests both in vehicle and computer-based. You will ensure SWDL and software quality, and to reduce SWDL error rate. You will report deviations from test results in VIRA and Azure DevOps, and also contribute to developing the VIDA and PIE application release process.

Your skills:
We believe that you have a bachelor’s degree or corresponding knowledge obtained by practical experience, in Software Engineering. You will have gained excellent cross-functional working skills from your previous work experience with vehicles in a workshop, or equivalent setting. Experience in Agile way of working is considered meritorious. You are fluent in written and spoken English and are in possession of a valid Driving license B.

For this position, you need to have a very good communication skills, curiousness and a personal eagerness to investigate, learn and drive for change to be able to accomplish results. You have drive and passion for continuous improvements in your daily work. A sense for good logic and structured way of working will be important in this role, as well as the ability to work in teams, individually and multiculturally.
