The International School of the Stockholm Region (ISSR) is a publically funded international school which exists primarily to serve the educational needs of the transient and/or international community of Stockholm. ISSR runs all three International Baccalaureate’s curricula: Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme. The school’s language of instruction is English for all subjects. The school has been running the Diploma Programme since 1999 and PYP and MYP since 2012. ISSR aspires to provide a high quality, international environment. The teachers at ISSR are qualified and experienced educators. Teachers and staff take part in the wide range of professional development resources and activities offered by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB). In addition to lessons, teachers often meet their students for individual guidance.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
ISSR is looking for a Swedish/ English teacher to work in the elementary school (grade 1-9, PYP and MYP). The position includes teaching English as an Additional language in the PYP (grade 1-5) and Swedish A in the MYP (grade 6-9).



KVALIFIKATIONER
Responsibilities include:
•Map the EAL needs within the PYP
•Teach EAL according to student needs
•Provide support to all EAL students in mainstream classrooms and in pull-out sessions
•Monitor and document the progress of all EAL students
•Plan and teach Swedish in the MYP
•Plan with colleagues across the school
•Participate in school activities (assemblies, evening events, conferences, etc.)
•Continued professional development
Qualifications:
A qualified candidate will be:
•A certified Swedish and English teacher (lärarlegitimation)
•PYP and MYP teaching experience and training
•International teaching experience
•Native or fluent English-speaker
•Highly competent with IT (Windows platform, Smartboard and other tools for learning).


Löneform: Månadslön. Månadslön
Monthly salary

Anställningsform: Tidsbegränsad anställning.
Arbetstid: Dagtid. Måndag till fredag
Monday to Friday
