Within Europe, ACN markets telecommunications services to residential customers and small businesses in 15 European countries. ACN's cornerstone product is fixed telephony (local, national, international calling). In addition, ACN markets subscription and mobile services in selected markets. We are currently looking for a Swedish Translator to start as soon as possible. You would be working from our headquarters in Amsterdam or from our Nordic office in Åmål (180 km north of Gothenburg) Summary of Role The translator is responsible for creative translation and cultural adaptation of the company's printed materials and written communications. Major task & responsibilities: Creative translation of all the company's newly developed materials/communication from English to Swedish. Have an in-depth knowledge of the company's business, keep track of the changes and proactively introduce revisions to the existing materials. Work closely with the Graphic Designer to create powerful, culturally acceptable, consistent set of sales tools and materials for the company's representatives and customer communication. Acquire extensive knowledge of company's policies and procedures, on the basis of which review promotional materials created by representatives for compliance. Required Skills: You should be a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. You are able to adapt and thrive within a multicultural business environment. You are able to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously and you can work independently and to strict deadlines Functional Prerequisites: Excellent Swedish skills, minimum 1-2 years of translation experience, fluency in English (written and spoken), good knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic knowledge of Internet technology, experience with Trados is a plus.
