SW/System Engineer for development of Smart Accessories

About the role
You will be part of Husqvarna Global Pro department and at group level Accessories R&D with the main customer group “Tree Professionals”. We are six driven group members who enjoy to work with the latest technology for developing new innovative high end products that improve our end-users workday. As a team, we provide an inclusive environment that allows everybody to grow as an individual.
At the department “Product Design Accessories”, we develop different kinds of accessory equipment intended for Husqvarna products, as for example personal protective equipment like safety helmets and hearing protectors, communication equipment, forest tools, robotic accessories, among many others.
Work assignment
This position is within the field of “Smart Accessories” towards the Husqvarna forest and garden segment. You will be involved in the development as well as in the subsequent industrialization of new products as well in maintenance of current existing products. You will perform many of your tasks in close co-operation internally with “Advanced Design” as well in many cases external partners.
Main tasks are:
Initiate and establish technical specifications
Develop and define SW architecture for new smart products.
Contribute to HW architecture concepts.
Contribute to development and evaluation of electronic systems.
Low level programming, mainly for prototypes and concept evaluation.
Technical investigations and research for solutions.
Technical discussions/coordination within Husqvarna Group and with external partners.
Responsible for implementation of SW updates and maintenance.
Basic practical testing of products.
Evaluating/analysing of test results.

Who are you?
Required education:
Bachelor or Master in SW Engineering.
Embedded System Engineering.

Desired skills and experiences:
Experience within C/Assembler and Hardware programming.
Experience with communication protocols – especially Bluetooth.
Product development (embedded systems).
System Architecture, HW/SW.
Sensor integration.
Systems engineering.
Testing parts of and complete systems.
