Cambrex Karlskoga is now looking for a synthetic organic chemist to the R&D Department. We offer an exciting opportunity to work with process development at an international pharmaceutical company. You will work with specialists in organic chemistry and process engineering with a high standard of science, innovation and quality.

The service is full time and the workplace is in Karlskoga. 

Work description
As a synthetic chemist in R&D, your main mission is to support delivery of scalable processes for development products to our customers in the pharmaceutical industry. The work is performed in project form with emphasis on organic synthesis and experimental planning and characterized by strong focus on safety, quality and robustness.

In the role you have many contact points inside and outside the company, including continuously reporting your results in the project and to the customers. Once the development work has been completed in the laboratory, you will follow the product into pilot plant manufacturing and support the production department in the chemical aspects of the manufacturing processes. 

Qualifications
We are looking for a MSc or PhD in organic chemistry. We also believe that you have at least a couple of years of experience in laboratory synthesis and/or experience in the process industry. Experience of industrial crystallization processes, experimental planning and process optimization is considered to be meritorious.

In this role, you need to be creative, focused and enjoy challenges. You also need be able to work systematically with problem solving and to handle the results of your creativity in a structured way that ensures safety and quality at work. As you will work in projects, you need understand the strength of teamwork and be happy to share your success with others. Experience in team work is considered to be meritorious.
