We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

We are people who want to make a difference.
Everything we do starts with people. It’s what makes us different from all other car companies. Highlights of the areas in focus are Infotainment, Autonomous drive, and a core system optimized for electric cars. We look for curious, creative people who want to change the world through innovative thinking

About R&D – Common Base Technologies
We are an agile release train in the software and electronic platform solution organisation with the ambition to create the best digital car platform on the market. Common Base Technologies include SW deployment technologies, vehicle platform services, start and electrical energy management, as well as cyber security and wired communications. CBT deliveries are common among many ARTs and useful to align for complexity reduction, cost and speed.
When going for our vision delivering our products in code, we are facing exiting challenges and we are now strengthening ourselves with new skilful and talented people onboard.

What is in it for you?
Future technologies, nice people, influence, challenge & personal development!

You will join an empowered team of experienced engineers taking lead for our art´s future technical solutions in SPA2 and GPA. Cooperation with all our CBT teams, including art lead, architect teams and product areas within software and electronic platform solution as well as other solutions within R&D. You will have the possibility to use the skills and competences you already have today at the same time being challenged with future new ones. Your own future ideas and thinking will end up in a work task in your team backlog, and later maybe be very usable for our future VCC customers driving their new car to the beach or in the city centre somewhere.

Who are you?
To succeed in this role, it is most important that you are a curious quick learner who enjoys diving into new things. Moreover, you should have a MSc education in software engineering, data technology, electronics or similar, combined with +7 years of relevant working experience. We believe that you are fluent in English, spoken and in writing.  As you will collaborate with many different people cross our organisation, we see that you have excellent collaboration and communication skills and enjoy working in a team. Since this is a senior engineering position you are expected to have leadership skills and personal interest to further develop them.
