System Designer for Telecom Traffic

Our client in Stockholm is looking for a Senior System Designer to develop traffic functionality. Job Description: . Radio Base Station (RBS) System Development, involving: o Traffic related functional requirements analysis and decomposition into subsystems o Technical investigations in the area of user plane processing (transport network, baseband, radio, synchronization) and traffic control (resource management) o UML modeling of functionality on system level (involving many disciplines of UML) o System SW architecture and design, and where applicable also high level HW architecture and design Essential Skills required: . Experience from system analysis of traffic related functionality, such as: o RBS Traffic/radio resource control for Wimax, WCDMA (Nbap) or CDMA2000 (Abis. Sign.) o (At least) High level understanding of Baseband signal processing o (At least) High level understanding of Radio signal processing . Understanding of Radio Access Network architecture and functionality (incl. Function allocation) . Experience with UML based development . > 5 years experience of SW, HW and/or System development Additional skills required: . Fluent spoken and written English. . Good communications and presentation skills . The ability to communicate and work in multicultural team environment . Mentorship: Ability to educate other people and act as senior advisor. Beneficial: . Experience from the telecom industry . Experience with C++ development for embedded real-time systems . Experience in estimating load figures for CPUs, lines of code, intensity figures for different types of activities in a system Independent consultants may also apply.
