Collaborative Services Centre of Excellence is a function within Volvo Cars Information Technology, globally responsible for delivery of IT products
and services in the collaboration area. Collaborative solutions are products and processes designed to enhance communication and collaboration
among Volvo Cars users for achieving team and enterprise goals.
Our main areas are document sharing, intranet, mail, work-flow and data-conferencing.

To strengthen the service to VCC at the technical side of the VCC Intranet platform we are looking for a System Designer for Intranet.

Job description

Administer, operate and maintain the VCC intranet platform
Capacity planning, configuration and tuning of the VCC Intranet platform Manage application and system security according to IT policies.
Suggest and investigate process improvements and server side tools that improve intranet operations
Conduct systems design in close cooperation with business analysts and business customers
Determine and document business requirements on intranet applications
Make architectural proposals for the VCC intranet platform.
Develop and maintain applications on the VCC intranet
Design and develop databases
Act as third level user support for intranet problems.
Work in close cooperation with the intranet business owners and application specialist

Qualifications

Be skilled in the area of intranet, management of databases, web based content and web based applications
Intranet management from a communication point of view
Developer background
Good technical understanding of document management challenges in large corporations, preferably not bound to one technology.

Required
Knowledge in HTML, Javascript and ASP
Knowledge in database design
Experience from MS FrontPage editor and server extensions
Experience from use of content management and portal tools
Good communication skills, including a high level in spoken and written English
Knowledge of Windows server administration and SQL Server database administration
University degree in an IT related topic with 5+ years of IT experince

Also desirable is
Experience in business analysis and project management
Experience as a technical project leader
Knowledge in Flash, xml, xsl
