We are now looking for a System Developer for the application area Material Planning & Logistic for Volvo Cars Torslanda. The positions are in the VCC IT department located at the Torslanda Plant, Gothenburg.
Job Description
Translates logical design into physical program specifications with guidance. Develops and integrates portions of IT solutions by using appropriate development methodologies and standards.
Develops and executes unit test plans and scripts to validate that assigned modules meet technical specifications.
Participates in technical inspections at appropriate stages of development.
Creates production support documentation. Works with Operations Analysts, System Designer/Analysts and other developers to prepare and stage production builds
Participates in data migration/conversion activities Primary skills required
Skills in object oriented programming languages Java (J2EE) and UML
Strong written and verbal English and Swedish capabilities
Skills in VMS and Fortran.
Skills in Mimer SQL Database and Mimer user interface.
Experience required ö
Experience in working with large-scale project with high complexity and with cross-functional development teams
Experience in developing systems/applications on VMS and Mimer Database. Experience in developing software with high level of solution complexity due to business environment changes and rapid emergence öof new technology
Practical experience in Object oriented system design and development within Java (J2EE) Experience in estimating of system developments effort & time in project
Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in computer science or related discipline
