Job description This role resides within the Integration Frameworks team of the development department. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining a general framework to be used in any integration involving one or more API/message protocols. The group is also responsible of a number of integrations that use the FIX Protocol (Financial Information eXchange Protocol) and a toolkit that allows third party developers customize their own integrations. Applicants can expect to initially work on a project to enhance the offering of the framework while delivering an integration solution towards one of the mayor financial exchanges in Europe. The development is in UML2 and parts of the framework in C++ and C#. Understanding of the FIX protocol and the business functionality behind the component will be essential for the project. Afterwards, the applicant can expect to combine project management skills with development skills in order to drive further development of new functionality in the framework while delivering new integrations to the top financial players of the world. The role includes clear responsibilities for the maintenance and support of the Integration Frameworks components Skills Thoroughness and a humble dedicated approach to learning are of great importance, but a suitable candidate will also possess as much as possible of the following skill set Development skills: . Familiar with UML2 as a designer/development tool . Familiar with concepts and technologies within Object-Oriented design . Proficient in C++ (or other similar languages), SQL and XML in a Windows environment Business oriented skills: . Planning and project management . Good understanding of financial software and trading relating processes. . Ability to focus on business & the customer needs Personal skills: . Enthusiastic and driving . Ability to interact and co-operate in a large organization . Decisiveness and focus on actions and results Qualifications Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering or corresponding. It is desirable that you already have experience of systems development and/or project management. Any type of previous experience of electronic exchange systems or financial systems will prove valuable. Basic understanding of financial products and derivatives is equally useful.
