System Developer within CAM

Volvo IT/Aero is part of Application & Techniques and consists of about 90 people divided into 6 function teams. Our CAX (CAD/CAM/CAE) team now has a vacancy for a new member to reinforce the group. Our customer, Volvo Aero Corporation, is a high-tech company that specialises in gas turbines. The company develops, manufactures and maintains military and civilian aircraft engines. Through strict specialisation in key technologies and selected product areas, Volvo Aero cooperates with the world's leading aircraft engine manufacturers. The company also plays a growing part in the development and manufacture of key components for the joint European aerospace programme, Ariane. Operations also encompass gas turbines for industrial and marine applications. Volvo Aero has facilities in Trollhättan, Linköping, Hartford (USA), Kongsberg (Norway) and Boca Raton (USA). Job description: Systems development in the CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) area, particularly the maintenance and development of computerised tools for product development and manufacturing. The work takes place in close cooperation with the customer. Competence requirements: - Documented experience within the CAD/CAM area. - Since our corporate language is English, you should be fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken as well as written. - You should be accustomed to working independently as well as in groups, and should have the will and the ability to learn new things. Experience of the following is an added merit: - Thorough experience of programming in the area of PLM - TeamCenter - NX - Autocad - DNC solutions
