System Engineer (Linux/DevOps)

Job description
Randstad Technologies is now looking for a System Engineer to join our client’s IT Operations team. Our client is the global leader in mobile Internet connectivity for public transport.

As a System Engineer you will focus on maintaining and setting up new automation flows and managing infrastructure application. As part of the IT Operations team you will have exciting and varying workdays in a team where everyone is open for new ideas and dare to try new methods, technologies, and ways of doing things. Responsibilities
As a System Engineer your main focus will be designing, implementing, optimizing and managing all type of automation used throughout our client’s production environment. We strive to make our environment as much hands off as possible and you will be key part of continuing that vision. It is a unique opportunity to work with the entire flow starting with the design to implementation and management of software infrastructure. 

You will be surrounded by a great and tight team that work together to achieve great results as a unit. We have a great team-spirit in our department and look forward to a new colleague that wants to add to that! You will report to Jonatan, a leader that emphasizes close cooperation and open communication based on trust and mutual understanding. 

Qualifications

In a similar way, they will support you. As our networks need to run smoothly 24/7/365 we sometimes need to work late evenings, nights or even weekends to make that happen. We expect you to feel comfortable with that commitment to our clients and the end-users travelling onboard their vehicles. Opportunities to travel to other countries may occur.

requirements.
Technical Education within system engineering or computer science at a post-secondary level (Swedish: eftergymnasial)
Fluent in written and spoken English 
Excellent understanding of Linux administration 
Excellent understanding of Automation 
Excellent understanding of Scripting, tools development and CI/CD
Good understanding of Container Management
Good understanding of Database management
Good understanding of Monitoring tools
Good understanding of Backup/Restore tools
Basic understanding Networking TCP/IP
Curious of learning environment and adopt new technologies.
A Doer with understanding of risk
Meticulous in both execution and documentation
Having a sense of responsibilities
