This position is based at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What you’ll do
Our System Design team is a part of the Polestar propulsion department, with a mission to deliver results which exceed the customers’ expectations. The team consists of system engineers, CAE engineers and system designers. The area of responsibility is system design of high voltage domain and software, including functional safety and cyber security, range and performance simulations, data analysis and propulsion roadmap.

Your responsibilities will be:

- Optimize the high voltage system components and design towards multiple objectives such as EMC, Isolation, DC ripples and other aspects
- Responsible for the complete delivery of high voltage systemization making sure isolation and DC ripple balance is achieved and that selection of capacitors within the systems are optimized towards the cable inductances and safety requirements at crash
- Roadmap for the high voltage systems
- Balancing of requirements within the high voltage system
- Investigate and evaluate different technical solutions
- Support and analysis of system level tests
- Support in the HW joint reviews of power electronics.

You are enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven. You’re not afraid to try new approaches and out of the box methods. You have a holistic view, including vision, business, and customers. You are a fast learner and are not afraid of addressing tough challenges.

You are an experienced system engineer within TVS who is motivated by challenges and cooperate with others to reach common goals. You are communicative and collaborative with good motivational and planning skills. You are structured, methodical and analytical, as well as patient, flexible and pleasant.

To be successful in this role, we believe you have:

- MSc. or higher within Electrical Engineering or similar education
- Previous automotive experience
- Previous experience of Requirement handling
- Previous experience of EMC, ECE R100 and ECE R44/04 and other relevant standards for HV systems
- Knowledge about SFMEA and fault tree analysis
- Experience in Matlab Simulink/Simscape or LTspice is beneficial
