We are looking for engaged system managers to contribute to Ericsson's market-leading 5G cloud packet core products and solutions.
 
The Solutions Department develops products and solutions for the Ericsson Cloud Core – one cloud packet core for all accesses and services, with dual-mode operations, 4G and 5G. We deliver Massive IoT, Mobile Broadband and Enterprise Core on different cloud environments.

Position overview
PDU Packet Core is looking for two System Managers that will play an important role in the development of Ericsson Cloud Core Solutions. You will focus on our value offerings and especially how they deploy and perform on cloud environments, both container and VM based.
The open positions are within the section Solution Design and System Management. This section consists of around 20 System Managers and Product Owners.
 
Responsibilities & Tasks
We need two system managers wanting to work with characteristics and non-functional requirements of our Packet Core deployments on different Cloud Execution Environments. You will be working with deployments and installation aspects . You will be doing studies on orchestration, capacity and performance tuning.
Together with the System Manager team and the validation teams of the Solutions program you will make sure that the performance and characteristics of the solutions are world class. Experience from Cloud Native technology like Containers and Microservices is especially appreciated.
 
Your main tasks will consist of:
Perform studies and investigations covering primarily the capacity, networking, HW and Cloud technical areas for new features and solutions. Receiver of studies are Product Line, Product Owners and Development/Validation Teams.
Produce Solution Requirements from input such as studies, markets and product line.
Support Customer Units (CUs) and support Quotations (Q&A, RFQs, RFCs, RFPs). E.g. have technical dialogue with CUs to understand customer requirements and customer feedback.
Coaching and supporting the validation teams
Be part of and collaborating with the System Manager team
Identifying and driving improvements in our solutions, products and way of working.

 
Technical competences wanted:
Cloud Native and Virtualization competence (e.g. Kubernetes, Openstack, Vmware. SDN)
Packet Core Domain knowledge
Experience from working with characteristics and non-functional requirements of SW
Computer Networking (e.g. routing and switching) competence
System Security
