We currently have the following job opening;

System Manager - Engine Integration 

As a System Manager you are responsible for the development of new systems within Engine Integration. You will lead and manage the resources and the deliveries from a cross-functional project team both in Sweden and China. You are responsible for securing the correct system definitions and specifications towards suppliers and also for reviewing their planning, implementation and testing. You will need to build and maintain a network with expertise across the corporate Geely group to secure the correct status in the many aspects of engine integration into vehicles.

Responsibilities and tasks

- Developing and driving system requirements (technical, functional, legal, etc.) and the alignment of these across Geely Auto and Volvo Cars, into one common set of requirements
- Developing system design solutions together with our partners and suppliers, based on best practice to meet new requirements
- Defining and planning component and system simulation, testing and validation together with the System Verification Leader and our partners
- Acting as Concept leader until the gateway Program Confirmation
- Leading sourcing activities from an engineering perspective
- Leading and representing the system in benchmarking activities such as test drives, teardowns, exhibitions and conferences.
- Contributing with a deep knowledge in technical details and overall responsible for the technical system area
- Key person and main contact towards external parties in early phases

Requirements

- BSc. or M.Sc. Eng
- Mminimun 5 years’ experience of automotive development
- Relevant experience of the specific system area of Engine Integration
- Experience of project management
- Experience of supplier management
- Ability to drive, motivate and convince
- Persistency to pursue targets, take decisions and able to respond to changing priorities
- A creative and curious mind
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture
