System Safety Engineer, ART Deceleration & Steering

About us
Within ART Deceleration & Steering we develop Brake and Steering systems to provide the best customer user experience in our future vehicles and continuously improve current models. ART Deceleration & Steering consists of 3 groups:
-    SW & Control 
-    Brake SW & Mechatronics 
-    Brake & Steering HW
-    We are now looking for a dedicated colleague to strengthen our Deceleration Team within the group Brake SW & Mechatronics , both in concept- and industrialization- phase.

What´s in it for you
The purpose of the team is to together with the Brake HW team create the next generation of Brake systems as well as improving the current solution. 
The team also handles quality issues, running changes and model year updates. Everything in close collaboration with our suppliers and the responsibility ranges from concept phase with setting of specification to securing a high-quality industrialization to maintaining the current solutions with focusing on Safety, Quality and Cost. 
The work as SSE engineer includes participating in function realisation and system design for the steering system, primarily for functional safety (ISO26262) or safety related functionality. As part of the team you also take responsibility for SW/HW requirements breakdown including alignment regarding system safety and new system requirements. 

What you´ll do
As an engineer within System Safety you take responsibility to secure alignment within the ART regarding system safety and new system requirements as well as review relevant safety documents such as manuals & requirements for the steering system. In this role you also do approvals of test results if required from system test team including reviewing DFMEA & FMEDA from supplier

Do you fit the profile?
You have a M.Sc. in Controls and Mechatronics, Electronical or Computer Science Engineering or equal and experience from system and functional development preferable within Automotive. We believe you have a deep knowledge within system safety & ISO 26262 and are interested in further developing your skills and knowledge within system safety as well as SW development process.
We are working in an agile setup, so experience from agile ways of working including SAFE is meritorious.
You are fluent in English (spoken and written) and have a driving license (B) and drives on a regular basis

Personal qualifications:
You are self-organizing and has a full knowledge and able to work independently in Volvos Product Development Processes, Systems and Tools and according to VCC agile way of working  
We expect you to be experienced in the SCRUM / 
On a personal level, you are customer focused, with self-leadership and a drive that enables you to develop and implement new methods. You value structure and have a data driven mindset to engineering.
You have good interpersonal skills, thrive in a team and have the ability to build trust.
