Systems analysts to LKAB

Arbetsbeskrivning

Want to join us on our exciting journey?

LKAB is now facing the biggest transformation in the company’s 130-year history. Through digitalisation, automation, electrification, new operation methods and carbon dioxide-free production, we will set a new world standard for both future mining and mineral processing.
We will also take an important step forward in the value chain by shifting from iron ore pellets to sponge iron, produced with hydrogen technology.
This will increase the value of our products while giving our customers direct access to carbon dioxide-free iron for steel production. The investments needed will probably be the largest industrial investment ever in Sweden's history.
About the position
We are now looking for Systems analysts / System Engineers who want to be part of a new team that works with the challenging task to create models and carry out holistic analyses of different production system’s overall function and performance.
The work is strategically important since system analyses form a basis and a guide to defining project portfolios and future infrastructure investments. The objective is to ensure that both existing and new production systems perform as efficiently as possible, to maintain short- and long-term competitiveness.
You will carry the responsibilities of researching problems, finding solutions, recommending courses of actions, and coordinating with stakeholders to meet specified requirements.

In order to quickly and efficiently achieve good results, the team needs an intimate collaboration with colleagues and partners who have detailed knowledge within the production system's various functional areas. An important task is thus to structure and coordinate modelling work within the company, and ensuring that developed models are compatible, reusable and that proper modelling techniques are used.
The position is based in Luleå, situated close to the Bothnian Sea in northern Sweden. Great opportunities for fantastic outdoor activities both summer and winter, as well as access to everything a modern city can provide, including good communications.
