Systems Engineer

Do you want to be part of creating history in Swedish Space Industry? In 2021, we plan to launch satellites from Esrange outside of Kiruna in the North of Sweden. Now there is a unique opportunity for you to be part of the preparation and operation of the new satellite launcher site and the new rocket motor test capabilities currently under construction.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITES
As a Systems Engineer, you will be part of our team that designs, establishes and operates our new facilities for rocket motor tests and orbital launches. Systems integration between customer and SSC equipment, ground systems for rocket vehicle tracking, telemetry and command are example areas within your responsibility. In the initial phase focus will be on design and requirements specification of a broad variety of systems to be implemented. In the operational phase, you will be part of the launch team and continue to develop all supporting systems needed for our services. You will work in close collaborations with our customers, with emphasis on understanding our customer’s needs.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To enjoy the role as a Systems Engineer, you are an innovative team player with a strong driving force. You are an engineer with an ambition to work in the space industry, preferably with experience in RF. You have good knowledge in English and appreciate taking an active role in the team together with our customers. We believe you have a master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent.

LOCATION
We offer a permanent position after 6-months trial period. Daytime 40h/week. As part of Orbital Launch & Rocket Test Department you will take part in launching and test campaigns which are scheduled outside normal working hours. The position is stationed at our Esrange/Kiruna office.
